The Fun score ranks hostels based on the overall fun and social atmosphere as rated by guests. It's focused on social interactions, ability to meet others and overall perceived postive experience in regards to fun. The meter is a graphical representation of the score.

Chill vs Party Meter
This meter indicates whether a hostel is more chill and relaxed or has a lively party atmosphere. If the hostel has a party-centric atmosphere with bar crawls, drinking games and free shots then the meter will point in the far right. If the hostel has an atmosphere geared towards meeting people without parties, making friends and family style dinners then the meter will point to the left.

The Fun Meter provides an overall fun rating, while the "Chill vs Party Meter" gives nuance to what type of fun is found at the hostel.
